EFR & PADI RESCUE COURSE

New Way is proud to be different....

Both the Emergency First Response (EFR) course & the PADI Rescue Diver course courses are the pre-requisite to starting your PADI DiveMaster Course. Once you complete this course you will no longer just dive around looking at fish. You’ll start to notice more about other divers and be more aware of what can happen around you. Once you are more aware, you can manage and prevent problems easily before they occur. If there is an accident, you will know how to react and be ready to assist in an emergency.

We’ve got an action packed course for you! We’re the ONLY dive shop on the island to offer the following with every EFR & PADI Rescue Diver course:

WE START COURSES EVERY DAY – BOOK WHEN YOU WANT TO.

ARE YOU SURE YOU NEED EFR? – YOU WON’T IF YOU HAVE A FIRST AID CERTIFICATE IN THE LAST 2 YEARS.

HAVE THE RIGHT GEAR – LEARN WITH ONE OF OUR BRAND NEW FIRST AID MANNEQUINS.

BECOME A PADI ENRICHED AIR DIVER – FOR ONLY 4,500 BAHT EXTRA

TAXIS ARE EXPENSIVE – FREE PICK UP FROM THE PIER.

THE SCHEDULE

10.00a.m – 2.00p.m

We start the day with the EFR Course, if needed. You will sit down with your instructor and cover both the theoretical and practical side of the course. The course is divided into primary and secondary care, with lots to learn and do and you will get a chance to practice a variety of life saving skills.

4.00p.m – 6.00p.m

During this time you will receive an overview to the Rescue Diver Course and watch the course video and start covering the course material.

8.00a.m – 10.45p.m

This is the first day of your PADI Rescue Diver Course. You will be going over your knowledge reviews and learning why the answer are the answers and relating the knowledge reviews to real life situations.

11.45a.m – 6.00p.m (Sail Rock Days 12.30p.m – 6.30p.m)

We will leave the dive shop by taxi and head to the pier. You get 2 dives in shallow water where you will go through various rescue skills and scenarios. It’s your practice day for the final scenario and dive on the following afternoon!

8.00a.m – 10.45p.m

This is the final day of your PADI Rescue Diver Course. You will review any of the knowledge development that has not yet been completed and do your final exam.

11.45a.m – 6.00p.m (Sail Rock Days 12.30p.m – 6.30p.m)

We will leave the dive shop by taxi and head to the pier. You get 2 dives in shallow water where you will be carrying out controlled rescues and you’ll be stress tested under the water as well as having to deal with surface emergencies. It’s a lot to take on board but you’ll feel much happier and confident about your abilities once you are qualified at the end of the day.
