PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER COURSE
NEW WAY IS PROUD TO BE DIFFERENT...
If you are an Open Water Diver and ready to take the next step then our PADI Advanced Course is specially catered for you and the waters around Koh Tao. The course takes 2 days. It will depend on which day you start as to which order you will do your Adventure Dives in.
If you have not dived in the last 6 months then you might need to take a PADI Scuba-Tune Up before you will be eligible to take the PADI Advanced Open Water Course. This takes 1 day, so make sure you leave time for it.
We’ve got an action packed course for you! We’re the ONLY dive shop on the island to offer the following with every Advanced Open Water course:
5.30a.m – 10.30a.m (5.10a.m – 1.00p.m on Sail Rock days)
If you start the course with the Adventure Deep (30m) and the Adventure Nitrox, Multi-Level, or Wreck then you’ll be heading to Chumpon Pinnacle or South West Pinnacle, which are the top 2 deep dive sites found locally to the island. You’ll do your second dive at the HTMS Sattakut wreck. If you are fortunate enough to go on a Tuesday or Friday to Sail Rock, you won’t be able to dive the HTMS Sattakut wreck.
You will have already completed your Knowledge Reviews from home, or you will be expected to complete them prior to the morning dive departure. They take around 1.5 hours to complete, which you can easily accomplish the night before.
8a.m – 10.30a.m
You will meet your instructor to go through your knowledge reviews and have a chat about the adventure dives in the afternoon.
11.40a.m – 5.30p.m
We head on the afternoon boat to local shallow dive sites. Your first dive will be the Adventure Peak Performance Buoyancy dive. After a short break back on the boat you’ll head out on your Adventure Navigation dive.
6.30p.m – 8.30p.m
The Adventure Night dive is one dive and we go to the best local dive sites for this activity.
Please note that we can only go to the best dive sites if weather conditions and visibility are good. It is not about numbers of students with us. If you are the only one and the weather is good, then you get the boat to yourself! If conditions mean we can’t go there then we go to the best dive site for the conditions. Remember sea conditions can affect where we dive, even though we are lucky on Koh Tao that we only get a few bad days of weather a year. For ages 12-14 the maximum depth for the Advanced Open Water Course is 21 meters.
