PADI SELF RELIANT DIVER
New Way is proud to be different...
Learn how to be a safe diver and look after yourself under the water with the PADI Self Reliant Diver course. You’ll be used to diving with a buddy, but now you’ll learn how to dive with your own secondary air source without a buddy. It’s a fantastic and fun course which will teach you why it’s always best to carry back up gear and how to be a stronger partner in any buddy team. This course is ideal for experienced divers, especially photographers and videographers.
9a.m – 10.30.a.m
We’ll get you checked in and sized up. You’ll head to one of our classrooms with your instructor to get the low down on the course. There will be a presentation from your instructor about the course. There will be knowledge reviews, but no videos or final exams for this course. It is all practically based.
11.30a.m – 5.00.p.m (12.30p.m – 6.00p.m on Tuesdays & Fridays)
You’ll head on the afternoon boat to complete your first 2 training dives.
5.30a.m – 10.30a.m (5.10a.m – 1p.m for Sail Rock trips on Tuesdays & Fridays)
You’ll head on the morning boat to complete your first last training dive. For your other dive we then let you practice your new found skills by going on your first solo dive!
Please note that we can only go to the best dive sites if weather conditions and visibility are good. It is not about numbers of students with us. If you are the only one and the weather is good, then you get the boat to yourself! If conditions mean we can’t go there then we go to the best dive site for the conditions. Remember sea conditions can affect where we dive, even though we are lucky on Koh Tao that we only get a few bad days of weather a year.
